How to root android - CF auto root for any smartphone or tablet

With this series of articles about android rooting, we reached to the third article with this one. So today I'm going to talk about some interesting and powerful third party tool which was developed by the famous hacker and XDA developer named Chainfire. This tool is compatible with more than 300 brands and models of Android smartphones and tablets. But working with it seems a little bit difficult but it's efficient.

Before Android rooting



  • You should backup all the important data of the smartphone or the tablet you are intending unlock. Otherwise, there is a huge risk to a loss in all of them.
  • If you want to root a Samsung device you should have a windows computer. Because the drivers are only available for the Windows. But for any other brand beside Samsung, you can use any platform such as Windows, Mac or the Linux.
  • When it comes to downloading the right root tool package it's a bit tricky. You should be careful and match the model number, brand and the android version with the rooting package that you are going to download.
  • Then download it by visiting this page. Then extract it into a folder located in the hard drive and remember it. Because we need it later.

There is mainly 2 method for this rooting process. If you are rooting a Samsung device there is a different method that does it by using Odin. Here you can find both.


Android rooting for Samsung devices



  • First, turn off the device. Put it into the download mode by press and hold the home button, power button and volume down button simultaneously. Continue the process by using volume buttons.

  • Connect the smartphone or the tablet with the PC using a USB cable.
  • Go to the folder that has extracted the content of the downloaded tool kit. 
  • Find the .exe ODIN file and run it as an Administatrter.
  • Now it will recognize the device that was been connected.
  • Once it does In the interface  "ID:COM" field should be turned to blue.
  • Click the AP button and the rest should be unchanged.
  • Navigate the folder that contains the extracted tool kit again and opens the CF-Auto-Root.rar.md5 file.
  • When the log tab displays a message saying "Leave CS" click the start. 
  • With this step, the root Android process will be started.
  • Finally, it will be reboot automatically once it finished its job.





Root Android For all the other devices



  • Turn off the smartphone or the tablet you are rooting. Press and hold the power button and volume button simultaneously.
  • When the bootloader mode on connecting it with the computer by USB cable.
  • Go to the folder that has extracted tools of CF Auto root.
  • Find the compatible file to your operating system of the computer and double click it to run.
  • Now the rooting process will begin.
  • The CMD will inform you that bootloader is going to unlock. To continue the process press any key.
  • The red android logo will be displayed on the device screen while this process happening.

  • After it completes its job the device will be rebooted again.


Wrap Up
